* Call Schedule: 1:8 call-phone calls only/primary goes through Nurse Direct, secondary call to the physician
* Practice Detail: Join a well-established practice with 3 NPs and 3 MDs; also supports Ascension-Kiel Clinic, with 1 NP onsite

Responsibilities

Ascension-Wisconsin is looking for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine (or IM/PEDS) Physician for our Ascension-Calumet Clinic-Chilton Family Practice. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension-Wisconson to provide medical services to patients. This position will be 20 hours per week.

Position Highlights:

* Outpatient practice with inpatient/nursing home optional
* A new physician would be able to build their practice quickly (8-12 patients per day)
* Clinic is attached to the hospital allowing easy access to testing/a full array of visiting specialists

Responsibilities:

* Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
* Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
* Accepts patient referrals from other physicians. Acts as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital.
* Participates in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested.
* Provides appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.
* Participates in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.

Requirements

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

* One or more of the following required:
* Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.Licensure is dependent on state associate works in. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
* Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.Licensure is dependent on state associate works in. Verified by local Credentialing Office.


* Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA). Verified by local Credentialing Office preferred.

Education:

* Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Optometry (OD) or Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) required.
