Psychology Technician

The Psychological Technician supports and assists licensed psychologists in providing client care. This role involves conducting various psychological assessments, facilitating therapeutic interventions, collecting and analyzing data, assisting in research and administrative tasks, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for clients. The Psychological Technician assists in the care and treatment of patients with mental health issues. They work with of behavioral health providers, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and therapist. The Psychology Technician works under the Director of Behavioral Health.
* Conduct and score psychological assessments under the supervision of a licensed psychologist.
* Gather and document client history, presenting issues, and relevant background information.
* Support research projects by collecting and analyzing data, conducting literature reviews, and preparing reports.
* Assist in delivering therapeutic interventions as directed by the supervising psychologist.
* Assist with coordinating client care and managing communication between clients and providers
* Assist in preparing reports for case reviews, treatment planning, session notes, and progress reports.
* Collaboration with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
* Provide support and reassurance to patients, as needed, between therapy sessions.
* Provide crisis intervention and support to clients and families when needed
* Monitor patient progress and report observations to the supervising psychologist.
* Document client interactions and maintain accurate and confidential client records of client progress and outcomes.
* Ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards regarding client confidentiality and documentation.
* Participate in ongoing professional development and training programs.
* Assist in delivering therapeutic interventions, including individual and group therapy sessions, as directed by the supervising psychologist.
* Support clients in practicing coping strategies and skills learned in therapy.
* Monitor patient progress and report observations to the supervising psychologist.
* Provide support and reassurance to patients, as needed, between therapy sessions.

Qualifications
