The IPS Supported Employment Specialist works closely with the Vocational Coordinator to assist our clients in obtaining and maintaining competitive employment that helps to meet their vocational goals. The individual develops plans and interventions in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team and the individual in the area of employment/career services. This community-based position networks with community businesses to educate and involve them in this program resulting in the creation of employment opportunities.

Basic Position Requirements:

* Assist clients in identifying vocational goals and obtaining information about their benefits.
* Provide individualized follow-along supports, job development services and other services as identified as part of the Supported Employment model.
* Assists team members in thinking about employment for clients who have not been referred for supported employment services
* Provides education and support to employers.
* Maintain all documentation required in a timely manner and follow all related Agency and state policies and guidelines
* Participate in team and staff meetings. Communicate individually with treatment team members in order to integrate vocational services with mental health treatment.

Education:

* Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in education and experience.

Experience:

* Previous human services experience preferred.

Required Skills:

* Excellent organizational and communications skills
* Excellent customer service skill.
* Excellent computer skills and knowledge. of Microsoft Office.
* Ability to learn necessary computer and technical skills essential to the position and Agency needs.

Preferred Skills:

* Knowledge of and experience with electronic medical record
* Prior experience in a community mental health environment

Physical Requirements:

* Ability to access all Agency sites
* Ability to lift, push and/or pull 10 lbs.

Other:

* Ability to obtain and maintain Agency and/or State of New Hampshire required background check(s)
* Understanding of the importance of confidentiality and the ability to maintain that confidence
