Roc Nation Student Worker- WORK STUDY ONLY

The LIU Roc Nation School of Music, Sports & Entertainment is looking for Student Coordinators to work with School leadership.

Principal Responsibilities

* Various administrative duties, including, but not limited to
* Greeting incoming guests - including current and prospective students, faculty, and staff
* Answering office phone and directing calls as needed
* Taking detailed messages
* Assisting in making copies, scanning, filing, and faxing out documents for all Department Staff and Faculty
* Organizing the department (books, documents, restocking shelves and equipment with new supplies, etc.)
* Assist in capturing, editing, and promoting content
* Assist in planning and managing events
* Assist with reports, spreadsheets, and recruitment research
* Research and maintain calendar of events
* Attend open houses and lead student tours and speaking engagements
* Other responsibilities as determined by the supervisor

Required Job Skills and Abilities

* Perform basic office tasks (answering phones, sending emails, making photocopies, etc.)
* Working knowledge of computer programs (Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook email and calendar, etc.)
* Working knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, YouTube)
* Ability to learn rapidly, interpret, and apply department policies
* Works well independently in the absence of supervision
* Ability to work efficiently with others
* Bending, twisting, and/or lifting/carrying up to 15lbs
* Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time
* Content capture and photo/video editing a plus

Working Conditions

* 17 Hours Per Week Commitment
* LIU Indoor and outdoor campus

Materials & Equipment

* Phones, iPads, computers, printers, cameras, and other equipment as needed.
