Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant for Community Medical Center.

Community Medical Center, is a 592-bed, fully accredited acute care hospital offering area residents world-class medical treatment with the comforts of hometown care. Opened in 1961, CMC has evolved into the state s newest teaching hospital with four residency programs and Ocean County s largest and most active health care facility caring for over 21,500 inpatients, 178,000 outpatients and 73,700 emergency department patients each year.

Qualifications:

Required:

* Certified nursing assistant required.
* High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
* BLS required.(American Heart Association)

Preferred:

* Previous nursing assistant experience or clinical experience from an accredited nursing program preferred.

Scheduling Requirements:

* Night Shift, 36 hours per week, 6 p-6:30a

Essential Functions:

* The Certified Nursing Assistant is a direct patient caregiver who assists patients with activities of daily living and provides nursing care to patients.
* Accurately obtains vital signs, and weights, and documents on appropriate tools.
* Assists and prepares the patient for procedures / surgery and post procedure / surgery as directed by the RN.
* Providing patient care, based on physical, education, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients in assigned service
* Providing for effective and safe patient outcomes through practice, judgment and critical actions
* Ongoing communication with patients and nursing colleagues regarding status of patient s care
* Participating in collaboration of our patient's plan of care from ad mission to discharge to ensure safe transitioning
