QUALIFICATIONS

Previous experience training and leading employees. Work experience in the medical office/medical clinic setting. Works well with others. Must be a self-starter who is flexible and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Leadership skills in critical thinking, conflict management, personnel development, effective communication, and interpersonal skills. Computer aptitude.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS

Medium physical/mental demand capabilities required. Must be able to work independently as well as with physicians, staff members and other co-workers courteously. Must be able to prioritize work demands and organize time efficiently. Must be clear thinking. Able to work with time constraints, high stress situations, multiple tasks with constant interruptions. Excellent problem solving skills required. Must be able to calm patients/staff members facing difficult situations with professionalism and courtesy.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Oversee all medical office/medical clinic functions.
  • Oversees, schedules, and coordinates activities for all clinic personnel, including timecard approvals, and time off requests.
  • Coordinate the use of the EMR (electronic medical record) throughout the medical office/medical clinic, including necessary staff training(s). Validates accuracy and completeness of work to maintain a high-level of patient care.
  • Maintain high-level of understating of the EMR function to appropriately support/adjust workflows and ability to cover staff when needed.
  • Partner with key stakeholders in recruitment and retention of clinic staff.
  • Perform all evaluations, coaching, and corrective action(s) for clinic personnel with direction from Human Resources and Sky Lakes Physician Services Management.
  • Communicate openly with Sky Lakes Physician Services Management and ensure adequate two-way communication processes to drive positive workplace culture that meets the Sky Lakes vision and values.
  • Work collaboratively and proactively to continuously improve the employee experience.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with SLPS (Sky Lakes Physician Services) Management clinic huddles and staff meetings.
  • Stay abreast of federal and state regulations. Assist SLPS Management and key stakeholders with development of systems, processes, and education to help ensure our compliance through the effective corporate compliance program(s).
  • Partner with SLPS and key stakeholders (e.g., IS, Risk, Quality) to ensure compliance.
  • Responsible for establishing policies, processes, education, and standardization for Specialty Care Services, in collaboration with the Senior Director.
  • Work collaboratively to improve the patient experience.
  • Show competence in relation to the organization's defined mission, vision, values, and strategic plan. This will be apparent by ongoing completion of any, or all, of the following: proficiency testing, skill demonstration, practice of core standards for service excellence, and documentation review.
