JOB SUMMARY Under general supervision of the Sr. Safety Manager, the Specialist-HSE, Building Products provides general support for the Safety team as well as coordinates the Safety & Environmental activities for the company.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Comply with Company Safety Policies and Procedures
* Ensure and evaluate adherence to the Injury and Illness Prevention Program
* Conduct trainings on Company policies and procedures • Complete incident reports and investigations
* Develop job-specific safety training and ensure delivery • Train and certify forklift operators
* Monitor the Hazard Communications Program, including accuracy and archiving SDS • Analyze injury trends and areas of vulnerability and come up with action plan • Coordinate and monitor Loss Control activities • Maintain OSHA Log 300 • Conduct plant walk-through inspections and report safety violations • Coordinate with safety team to assure new and current operations are properly permitted and compliance with permits is carried out • Maintain safety video library and documents • Perform other duties as assigned or needed

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES • Communicate effectively and tactfully with managers and other levels of personnel, in person and on the telephone • Pay close attention to detail • Organize and schedule work effectively • Work well under time constraint • Handle multiple tasks • Fast-paced environment • Handle confidential information • Work independently as needed

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience • 1 -2 years' experience in functional role

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT The employee should possess the ability to: • Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable • Withstand exposure to temperature extremes inside or out • Prolong standing or in stationary position • Complete repetitive movements • Bend and/or twist • Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds • Ability to move or traverse about the facilities • Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions • Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision and hardhat protection) • Handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls • Ascend/descend stairs and ladders This is not necessarily an all-inclusive list of job-related responsibilities, duties, skills, efforts, requirements or working conditions.
