Henry Ford College presents an opportunity for three part-time 10-month Food Service Associates.   

The part-time, 10-month Food Service Associate (FSA) is a member of the Skylight Café Team. This position is primarily responsible for working the deli station preparing sandwiches for Skylight Café customers and catered events as determined by the Manager and or Kitchen Leader. The individual is responsible for storing and preparing food, and cleaning the station, cookware and utensils used by this position.  The Food Service Associate is also responsible for monitoring and keeping appropriate levels of product for the deli station and related catering and "Boulevard Grill"  station as determined by the Manager and Kitchen Leader.  The FSA may also relieve the Cashier or operate the second cash register during busy times as determined by the Manager and/or Kitchen Leader.

Hours:  Monday - Thursday 9:00 am to 2:00 pm (10 month positions)

Three positions - Deli Counter, Pizza Counter and Early College/Deli

* Earned high school diploma or equivalent
* Willingness and ability to learn how to: 
* Operate equipment used in the Food Service kitchen and serving area 
* Provide internal and external customer service
* Learn the techniques and methods of food preparation

* Prepares foods including set up, preparation, delivery, and take down under the supervision of the Manager and/or Kitchen Leader.  
* Maintains satisfactory sanitation in the kitchen and serving area.  
* Maintains proper level of stock at the food stations and serving area.  
* Prepare and keep all necessary paperwork and documentation relating to bulk and packaged food and equipment maintenance.  
* Assist other positions as needed or directed.  
* Perform other duties as assigned.
