Qualifications:

* Board Certified Behavior Analyst with a graduate degree in a related field
* Specific training and experience in behavior analysis, intervention, and positive behavior support
* Possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and physical attributes necessary to perform the position's essential functions.
* Supervisor credentials from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
* License issued by division of professional registration
* Mandt Trainer, or willing to become a Mandt Trainer

Reports To:

* Director of Special Education

Job Goal:

* Supervises the facilitation of effective interventions with students who exhibit behaviors that impact their learning and that of other students.

Performance Responsibilities:

* Supervises Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) including providing yearly competency assessments, direct supervision, and completing ongoing supervision documentation that meets the requirements of the BACB.
* Assists in applied behavior analysis programming assessments, behavior intervention plan development, and Applied Behavior Analysis programming.
* Analyzes a wide variety of data for the purpose of evaluating student progress toward instructional and behavioral goals, making recommendations regarding staff assignments, staff feedback, and training.
* Conducts evaluations, functional analysis, and functional behavior assessments (e.g., observations, testing, interviews, preference assessments, behavioral assessments, etc.) for the purpose of developing, implementing, and/or assessing recommended behavior plans to ensure effectiveness.
* Develops and provides workshops, training, in-service presentations, etc. in classroom management techniques and other topics in accordance with ABA principles and procedures, using behavioral skills training.
* Participates in observations, peer mentoring, coaching as needed and/or assigned for the purpose of developing a high level of performance by paraprofessionals, teachers, associates, and other staff members.
* Model implementation and intervenes directly with the student as needed.
* Facilitate monitoring of response to intervention with targeted behaviors.
* Collaborate with other specialists and support staff in addressing problems with student behavior.
* Comply with IDEA process requirements as applicable.
* Participate in a variety of team meetings (e.g., Individual Education Plan, parent meetings, committees, building teams, district teams, etc.).
* Supervise staff implementation of behavior plans and assesses fidelity.
* Perform reporting responsibilities as it relates to Medicaid billing.
* Demonstrate effective human relations and communication skills.
* Comply with good safety practices.
* Complies with all district rules, regulations, and policies.
* Regular and consistent attendance is an essential function of this position.
