Work cooperatively as part of a multidisciplinary campus-based health and mental health team that provides direct clinical services for enrolled UA students (individuals, couples, groups). These include evaluation, risk assessment, counseling and crisis management.Participate in campus community outreach, prevention, and psycho-educational activity, as well as occasional crisis/emergency response.Provide consultation to families, faculty, staff, administrators, and CHS medical providers.Participate in Counselor of the Day (COD) rotation, as assignedUtilize relevant information technology.Participate in relevant CHS and University wide committees, including the Survivor Support Services committee, and others, as assigned.Contribute to Survivor Support Services counseling policies and procedures.Work within the Survivor Support Services area on campus, providing trauma-informed care to survivors of interpersonal violence.Work within a model of care which supports trauma stabilization.Collaborate with campus partners regarding best support for student survivors. Offers group counseling for student survivors.Provide all services in a manner which is professional, culturally sensitive, and respectful of differences.Engage with colleagues in a manner which is professional, culturally sensitive, and respectful of differences.Demonstrate an understanding of the dynamics of privilege and oppression, and the impact these have on equity, access, and opportunity in higher education/the workplace.Participate in yearly professional development related to topics of justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion.Sensitivity and commitment to working with clients of other ethnically/racially diverse backgrounds, individuals representing varying gender identities and sexual orientations, international students, students with multiple intersecting identities, and working cross-culturally.Sensitivity and commitment to racial trauma, racial battle fatigue, and commitment to anti-racism.Commitment to work effectively with a diverse population presenting a broad range of needs.Additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

Excellent grasp of psychopathology and diagnostic systems.Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).Familiarity/comfort with utilizing the internet, web-based software, social media and related service delivery/marketing approaches.Enthusiastic and innovative approach to college mental health.Ability to evaluate, assess, and plan for continued care of traumatized individuals. Ability to evaluate and intervene with those experiencing acute post-traumatic stress reactions.
