Position Responsibilities:

* Administers & Coordinates medical prescribed therapy as assigned.
* Prioritizes Patient therapy according to patient acuity on a daily basis.
* Accountable for administration observation charting and reporting effects of drugs oxygen respiratory treatments and other the raputic and diagnostic measures.
* Completes assignments on a timely basis while adapting to changing workloads when required.
* Maintains standard shift productivity.
* Demonstrates knowledge of indications contraindications hazards and troubleshooting of all treatments as assigned.
* Demonstrates effective and efficient care through clinical competencies at least annually.
* Demonstrates competency in drawing and/or running arterial blood gases at least annually.
* completes all forms in medical record and departmental records accurately and legibly according to hospital/departmental policy and procedure.
* Communicates pertinent information at shift report.
* Fulfills on call responsibilities according to departmental policy.
* Participates in critical care program as an educator.
* Monitors ventilation patients according to departmental standards.
* Demonstrates ability to teach and educate patient and family according to departmental policies and procedures.
* Uses supplies equipment and resources in a cost effective manner

Qualifications:

* Florida license for Registered Respiratory Therapist.
* BLS Certification.
* Graduate of a two-year accredited program for Respiratory Care
* 1-2 years intensive care/ABG drawing/analysis
