Pharmacist - Fulltime

Murray Calloway County Hospital seeks a Licensed Pharmacist for our Pharmacy Department. This is a full time position and is eligible for benefits. This position requries shift rotation and call.

Job Description:

Under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy, ensures the safe and effective use of medications by providing medication order verification while assessing for optimal drug product selection, dosage regimen design, effective administration and drug therapy monitoring services in the hospital. Monitors inpatient and outpatient drug therapies when appropriate, and works with relating medical staff to find alternatives when needed, to ensure the best care possible is being given.

Required Licenses and Certifications:

• Current Pharmacist license to practice in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Minimum Education:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy

Minimum Work Experience:

• One (1) year of previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
