Job Description

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking skilled CDL Laborers for our highwaymaintenance crew. CDL technicians will conduct a variety of highway maintenance services, as well as other related tasks under close supervision. We are seeking a qualified applicant that will train in highway/roadway routine maintenance.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
  • May operate various forms of heavy highway equipment
  • With equipment cleans and grades ditches, drainage structures, highway road shoulders, slopes
  • Repair work includes repair of fences, sign repair, litter debris removal, and other highway maintenance activities, including emergency response.
  • Use all equipment safely
  • Mowing, and clearing brush from roadsides.
  • Patching broken or eroded pavements and shoulders.
  • Assist in storm cleanup.
  • Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, brooms, etc.
  • Use power tools such as chainsaws, pole saws, weed eaters, backpack blowers, etc.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.

EXPERIENCE:
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) with 3 years clean MVR required.
  • Strong equipment operations skills preferred.
  • Be able to lift fifty to sixty pounds (50 - 60lbs.)
  • Experience operating skid steer and dump truck preferred.
  • Highway maintenance or construction skills are preferred.
  • Ability to obtain ATSSA certification in the installation of traffic control.
  • Be able to work overtime, nights and weekends.
