Junior Estimator

Job Summary:

As a Junior Estimator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the estimation process within our organization. You will work closely with the Estimator, Bid Manager, Executive Director of Sales, and VP of Operations to analyze project requirements, assess costs, and prepare accurate estimates for projects. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Job Duties:

* Learn to prepare cost estimates utilizing PTTM's estimating software
* Assist Estimator in analyzing project specifications, drawings, and other documents to understand project requirements.
* Utilize estimating software and tools to perform quantity take-offs and generate cost estimates.
* Gather sub-contractor pricing
* Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications and related documents
* Assist in the review and evaluation of change orders, amendments, and other modifications to project scope or requirements.

Qualifications:

* 2 or more years' experience in civil construction, sales, estimating, tank or tower background
* Analyzing information, planning, reporting results
* Estimating and project management skills
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office skills in Excel, Word, Project, Outlook
* Multi-task and time management
* Attention to detail and organization skills
* Communication skills
