Summary:# #The Bariatric Surgical Clinical Reviewer#s (BSCR) chief responsibility is to collect and submit data to the ACS Bariatric Data Registry Platform.# This task is accomplished through high quality data compilation, documentation, and entry of 100 percent of bariatric procedures performed at the center in the ACS Bariatric Data Registry Platform.# The BSCR works closely with the members of the bariatric and general surgery departments to identify opportunities for clinical quality improvement and other special projects as may be identified.# # Education: #Bachelor#s degree preferred. Ability to complete the online MBSCR Training Program upon hire is required. Knowledge of medical terminology, basic anatomy # physiology is required. # Experience: # Electronic Medical Record Experience required. Experience navigating Meditech and AthenaHealth EMR systems preferred. Clinical chart review, data abstraction and database management experience preferred. Computer and Internet experience required.# A familiarity and comfort with Microsoft Office products are essential for success in this position (Word and Excel experience is required;) Ability to build relationships and gain alignment for clinical support and be able to articulate questions to receive an appropriate level of support from superiors and peers. Ability to interact with all members of the bariatric surgical team and administrative staff in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to manage data entry deadlines and center#s accreditation processes as necessary. Quality Improvement or patient safety knowledge and experience preferred. # Independent Action: Performs independently within departmental policies and practices.#

Experience:
