Overview

Responsible for performing all types of CT scans and related activities in the Heart Center CT Dept.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program required.

Experience: Two (2) years in a CT Department which routinely performs cardiac and vascular imaging preferred.

License, Certification and/or Registration: American Registry of Radiologic Technologist registration required. Current AHA BLS certification. Advanced CT certification with ARRT preferred.

Additional Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of x-ray procedures and protocols. Knowledge of radiology equipment including safety hazards common to radiology. Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions. Skill in writing and maintaining records and reports. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, families, co-workers, physicians and staff. Ability to communicate clearly. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions in order to maintain a safe working environment. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Knowledge of organization's policies and procedures. Upholds effective work habits including, but not limited to, regular attendance, teamwork, initiative, dependability, and promptness.
