Job Description:

We are a loving family in Brooklyn seeking a caring and responsible Nanny to join our household and assist with the care of our two wonderful children. Our son is turning 5 in a few weeks and attends private school full-time, while our daughter is 2 years old and spends two days a week in a local nursery. We are looking for someone who can provide attentive and nurturing care for our children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality childcare for our children, including engaging in age-appropriate activities, preparing meals, and assisting with bedtime routines.
  • Transport our children to and from school, activities, and appointments as needed. A driver's license would be greatly beneficial for this aspect of the role.
  • Assist with light housekeeping duties while the children are at school, including tidying up common areas, doing laundry, and light meal preparation.
  • Develop a positive and supportive relationship with our family, fostering open communication and collaboration.
  • Travel with the family as needed, including spending summers in Montauk from Monday to Thursday.
  • Provide care for our friendly dog, ensuring she receives adequate exercise and attention.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working as a nanny or caregiver, preferably with similar aged children.
  • A genuine love for children and a nurturing personality.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Flexibility to accommodate the needs of our family, including travel and occasional weekend hours.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
