CNA Companion Role
CNA Companions position themselves in their assigned patient's room to maintain constant visual observation of the patient. The role provides care in a supportive manner to patients, observes for changes in condition and alerting nursing staff as necessary.
12 hour shifts
Position Summary
The Certified Nursing Assistant Companion role functions under supervision of a Registered Nurse and performs various service duties to provide patient care, supervision, companionship, and support to the patient. Helps to maintain the patient room in a clean and orderly condition.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
* Education: High school diploma or GED preferred
* License/Certifications: Certified as a Nursing Assistant by the State of Maine and on the State of Maine Registry, having completed a six-week or equivalent course required.
* Experience: N/A
