Academic Interventionist

Waterville Elementary School is looking for an academic interventionist for the intermediate grades 4-6. The ideal candidate will:

* have knowledge of and experience with the Common Core and VT Standards in literacy and math
* have a strong understanding of the Next Generation Science Standards
* have success in building a strong classroom community of learners and forming positive relationships with students, teammates and parents
* have knowledge and experience with a variety of intervention techniques, programs and resources
* have knowledge of using MAPS and Fastbridge and interpreting that data
* facilitating PLC meetings
* have positive classroom management techniques
* have experience using formative assessments to drive instruction
* have successful experience working collaboratively with a team of educators
* approach instruction with flexibility, high expectations and creativity
* value parent communication and involvement
* possess the appropriate VT educator license
* bring a positive energy to the school and team
* have knowledge/experience with culturally responsive pedagogy
* Bridges mathematics program
* Responsive classroom, PBIS, Restorative Practices
