Refrigeration Technician

REFRIGERATION TECHNICIAN PAY ($36_ - $40 / hour)

Continental Carbonic is looking for an experienced REFRIGERATION TECHNICIAN. Our Refrigeration Technicians are responsible for providing technical support to achieve optimal levels in safety, quality and productivity.

Responsibilities

Maintain refrigeration, production, building and facilities equipment in optimal operating condition to ensure safe and reliable performance.

Work closely with engineers, outside contractors and vendors to install, maintain and troubleshoot refrigeration equipment.

Submit daily inspection reports and continuously monitor CO2 refinery, refrigeration process equipment, instrumentation, and piping and for proper operation.

Perform preventive maintenance and repair of refrigeration and production equipment from blueprints, technical manuals, or vendor specifications.

Recognize and perform machine adjustments to the various manufacturing machine systems.

Determining corrective actions based on operational and trouble messages provided by Programmable

Logic Controls (PLC) Display Monitors or other similar display panels.

Assist with installation, testing, and validation of new production equipment.

Must be able to follow instructions both written and orally.

Understands, follows, and maintains proper records for Process Safety Management procedures and requirements.

Notify management of any potential equipment issues or other noted abnormalities.

Maintain organization of Maintenance Repair Area and any other area where repair work is in progress.

Train other qualified maintenance technicians in refrigeration technology as a backup.

Assist Maintenance Manager with other tasks as requested.

Qualifications

High School Diploma and a 2-year technical degree or related certifications or training, (Documentation of training or certifications are required).

Good math, reading and writing skills to properly monitor equipment, check and record data.

Must have

Minimum of 2 year of ammonia refrigeration and maintenance experience within manufacturing environment preferred.

Experience with hydraulics, screw compressors, pneumatics, and troubleshooting using PLC's.

Must be proficient at process safety management related maintenance and record keeping.

Must be able to climb stairs and ladders, and work in tight spaces in and around machinery.

Must be able to work in hot and cold and wet environments.

Must pass pre-employment drug screen, employment history verification, and records check.

A Skill Level Exam will be administered to determine pay level.
