Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth is seeking a Patient Care Tech to join our team

Patient Care Tech at Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth:

* As the Patient Care Technician, the individual will interface with visitors, patients, family, and physicians on phone and in person for Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital at Fort Worth and Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Outpatient Center.
* Performs clerical duties including distribution of messages.
* Performs clinical duties, under the direction of an RN or LVN, including assisting patients to the restroom, removing iv catheters, etc.
* Cleans rooms if needed.
* Assists RN's as instructed.
* Any other duties as instructed by supervisor.

Required Skills:

Education:

* High School Diploma, or equivalent

Licensure/Certification:

* Certified Nurse Assistant Certification, or equivalent
* BLS Required

Specific Job Experience:

* Minimum 1-year experience in a hospital setting preferred.
* Previous experience Electronic Healthcare Record helpful

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Good communication and people skills
* Excellent clinical skills appropriate for a medical assistant, nursing assistant or patient care tech
* Ability to utilize Electronic Healthcare Record for patient documentation.
