Job Description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies.
  • Reads and deciphers schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
  • Positions or aligns components and parts, either manually or with hoists.
  • Uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts.
  • Conducts quality control checks.
  • Cleans and maintains work area and equipment, including tools.
  • Prepares work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
  • Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
  • Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
  • Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
  • Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
  • Kneeling, crouching, for extended periods of time may be required, candidate required to furnish basic handle tools.
  • Overtime and weekends will be required.
  • Support all NOV HSE policies and procedures

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Background in industrial machinery assemble required
  • Must be able to read assembly blueprints in English format.
  • Forklift skills required
  • Material handling experience required
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Have at least 1 year of verifiable over the road commercial driving experience with like type vehicles.
  • Read and speak English sufficiently to converse with public, understand highway traffic signs and signals and perform all duties and functions of the job.
  • Possess a current and valid driver's license and maintain proper endorsements for the type of vehicle that will be operated.
  • Must not be disqualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle or prohibited from conducting safety sensitive functions by USDOT.
