Salary: $1,021 - $1,340 Biweekly

* Although the minimum - midpoint salary range for this position is provided, appointments are typically made at or near the minimum range.

ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS: Non rotating work schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:30 am - 5:00 pm subject to changes. Occasional mandatory overtime and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

Under supervision of Foreman will maintain and mow the City's right-of-way and drainage ditches. Operate various types of machinery such as trucks, flat mowing tractors, zero turn mowers, operating weed-eaters, chain saws, brooms, shovels, picks, lopping shears, blowers, pole saws, rakes, trash grabbers and basic understanding of hand tools and power tools. Will require obeying all traffic laws while moving equipment from one location to another and following all City ordinance, policies and procedures. Will perform vehicle inspections, set up traffic control, pick up trash, and weed-eating. Will provide instruction and guidance to employees assisting on brush crew and will require completing daily vehicle inspection logs, litter logs, work orders, and completing injury report. May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications have changed effective 03/10/2015

Requires a High School Diploma or GED and one (1) year work related experience. A valid driver's license is required. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire.

Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.
