The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data. Schedules and coordinates tests, records test results, and prepares and maintains operational logs. Calibrates and maintains equipment and orders supplies when needed. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision.

Requirements:

  • Education: Graduate of a sonographer program.
  • License/Certificates: Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) (or within 12 months of hire into the department). BLS Certification is required
  • Call rotation Monday-Sunday. Holiday call rotation. Weekday call 4pm-7am, weekend call 7a-7a (24 hrs).
