* Provides information and assistance to customers in a friendly, courteous manner to ensure the delivery of guest service. Offer information on activities, etc., and direct guests for further information as necessary.• Create and enter player tracking cards on-site, online, and digitally.• Make payments on winning tickets in an accurate and timely manner; verify tickets and payoffs.• Maintain a cash bank for his/her shift, responsible for accepting payment and making correct change when necessary.• Exchanges cash and coins in accordance with established procedures.• Maintain and reconcile bank for assigned shift, following established cash-handling policies and procedures. Counts down bank or window at end of each shift and reconciles.• Completes all required shift paperwork according to internal control standards.• Records any applicable cash transactions that are required by Federal Law.• Issues and receives payments.• Cash personal and travelers checks in compliance with approved procedures.• Process lottery transactions with approved procedures.• Efficiently and accurately processes all pari-mutuel wagers in the tote system.• Explain wagering rules, including betting lines and odds, and procedures to guests.• Write, verify, and make payments on tickets for sports wagers in accordance with department policy and procedures and ensures compliance to applicable jurisdictional gaming statues and regulations.• Write Sports tickets in an accurate and timely manner.• Knowledge of and enforcement of all gaming laws and regulations which apply to the functions and duties.• Manages guest situations; Responds promptly to guest needs; Seeks guest feedback to improve service; Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments.• Stocks stations with adequate supplies; keeps all stations neat and clean.Page 2 of 5• This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive and Team Members may also be asked to perform other reasonable related duties as assigned. * General cashiering background or prior money handling experience preferred.• Previous experience in race and sportsbook preferred.• Working knowledge of sports.• Knowledge of tote system to place customer bets.• Efficiency and accuracy when entering guests wagers and paying out winners.• Variances within standards according to department variance policy.• Ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions when required.• Ability to learn and comply with department, property and regulatory policy and procedure.• Other duties, as needed.
