Graduate Assistant: Athletic Communications/Creative Video and Athletic Broadcasts

The graduate assistant will assist with athletic broadcasts on NEC Front Row and create video content to be used on social media and video boards at DeGol Arena and DeGol Field. The graduate assistant will serve as primary contact for 1-3 sports and promote each sport through writing previews and press releases and maintenance on the website (sfuathletics.com), create social media content, and maintain statistics for assigned sports. In addition, he/she will work game days for all sports as a videographer, statistician, scoreboard operator, or public address announcer throughout the year. If desire to do play-by-play for athletic broadcasts, there will be an opportunity for select broadcasts.
Preferred candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Broadcasting, Communication, TV Production, Journalism, or related fields. Previous experience is preferred in, operating a camera under various conditions, operating a camera in a live event environment, digital video editing, Adobe Suite and other editing applications, and a basic knowledge of sports production. In addition, collegiate athletics communications, Adobe Creative Suite (Mac), Stat Crew, NCAA Genius Live Stats, web streaming/video equipment, Daktronics Displays (LED scorer's table/message center), graphic/publication design, strong verbal and written communication skills is preferred.
Must be accepted into a full-time graduate studies program at Saint Francis University.
