Learning Outcomes

  • Collaborate with the Food and Beverage Team to ensure the delivery of 5-Star service to our esteemed members and their guests.
  • Take a leadership role within the Food and Beverage Team, ensuring the maintenance of a high standard of service quality.
  • Oversee front-of-house (FOH) food and beverage operations, managing daily activities, including table service, hosting, food running, and other key positions.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning and execution of events such as the Intern Event and Summer Employee Party.
  • Utilize your experience by supervising and coaching team members, offering guidance and support where necessary.
  • Assume responsibility for the operation of ANCC's 6 extraordinary dining outlets and banquet spaces, ensuring seamless service.
  • Showcase your expertise in banquet decor and table setting, applying your knowledge across a variety of event styles.
  • Lead ANCC's 5-Star Employee Recognition Program, managing the collection of nominations, invitation distribution, and event planning.
  • Engage in regular one-on-one mentorship meetings with a seasoned manager, tailored to your career goals and personal development.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a hospitality or culinary role with a strong focus on food and beverage operations.
  • Previous Intern Experience
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
  • A hands-on approach and a deep understanding of various aspects of food and beverage operations.
  • Availability to work at both our Arlington and Fairfax, Virginia locations.
  • Flexibility to work during varying hours of the day, including weekends and holidays.
