Job Summary

An Instrumentation Controls Technician designs/troubleshoots machine controls using PLC's, PC's, HMIs motor drives or other instrumentation/controls.

Job Responsibilities

* Develop control, data collection and signal processing systems
* Troubleshoot existing PLC's , HMIs, motor drives, electronic circuits, electro-mechanical systems, PID controllers and electronic sensors of all types
* Ensure satisfactory operation of new equipment; prepare operating and training manuals
* Train maintenance staff to service critical electronic components
* Monitor and adjust as necessary any equipment validating product

Qualifications

* Min. 5 years in electrical and electronics field.
* Strong process control background, including temperature & pressure controls, strain gages/load cells, signal conditioners, lasers
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Competent with PLC programming, control panel layout and construction
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills in fast paced manufacturing environment
* Flexible and open minded to assist and perform any task as required by management not limited to the above criteria listed
