Departmental Overview

Provides non clinical support to all nursing units, ancillary areas, and administrative areas. This support includes but not limited to internal and/or external transportation of patients, distribution of patient supplies and equipment, performs courier type functions and assist with the distribution of mail.

Job Summary

* Transports patients from one area of the hospital to another and distributes supplies and equipment.
* Perform tasks to support the delivery of care by actively participating as an interdisciplinary care team member.

Qualifications

Education

* High school education or equivalent.

Experience

* Prefer experience providing customer service in transportation (or transport), clerical duties, and/or dispatching associated functions. Requires general computer skills capable of utilizing health system's software programs.

Licensure/Certification

* Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (American Heart Association Healthcare Provider) CPR acquired before or during new hire orientation.

Compensation/Benefits

* $11.75-$19.18/hr depending on previous work experience.
