About this Cardiothoracic/Vascular Surgeon Job Opening:
* Full-Time Employment (1.0 FTE)
* Academic, Inpatient/Outpatient
* Expected Open Heart Cases: 268 per year
* Join a team of 2 Cardiothoracic Surgeons, 2-3 Nurse Practitioners, and support staff
* 1st Assist for vein harvesting available
* Level 1 Trauma Center serving the Northeastern Texas region
* On-Site Heart Valve Center (MitraClip, TAVR, valve replacement) with 9 cardiologists
* Referrals coming from cath lab and valve center
* Mon-Fri 8am-5pm: 1 Clinic Day, 2.5-3 Surgical Days, 4 hours admin time; no weekends
* Telephone-Only Call Schedule, 1:3
* EMR: Epic
Minimum Requirements:
* ABS board certification or eligibility as Cardiothoracic/Vascular Surgeon
* Surgical Fellowship Training in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery
* Interest and ability in both cardiothoracic and vascular
* Experienced and graduating Cardiothoracic/Vascular Surgery Physicians are encouraged to apply
