Department: CV OR Surgical Technologist Traveler

FTE: Full Time, 0.9, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $44.00 per hour plus travel package/stipend

LOCAL RN Traveler contract options available for those who reside within 75 miles

13 week assignments available - extension options

Minimum Requirements:

+ Graduated from a Surgical Technologist program.

+ State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration

+ BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date.

Job Duties:

+ Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies.

+ Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments. Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.

+ Passes instruments to physician during surgery. Continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery.

+ Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.

+ Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action
