Job Summary

* A Window & Door Measure Technician ensures contract and installation accuracy through verbal and written communication with customers and employees. This includes site visits, measuring, recording, ordering, and confirmations on all aspects of the post-sale window department process.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

* Host job site visits after sale to take technical measurements, photos and communicate the installation process and expectations to customers.
* Identify situations that may impact customer expectations, job costs and/or code performance and effectively communicate and document scope changes.
* Efficient and accurate product order entry into multiple sites including Renewal by Andersen, Provia, Prairie Hardwoods, Sherman Williams, ABC Supply, internal CRM and more.
* Create Job Packets for installation staff based on your completed orders entries.
* Maintains a thorough knowledge of product, installation techniques, and common building codes.
* Support Sales Consultants as needed, includes price quotes, accurate measurements, and assessments for labor/materials during sales process.
* Attend job site installations as needed.
* Provide our clients with the highest level of customer service.
* Train and mentor new window/door installers - as needed.

Education and Experience

* High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
* At least 1 year of construction and/or remodeling experience preferred.
* At least 1 year of window/door installation experience preferred.

Required Skills

* Valid driver's license required and a clean driving record preferred.

Work Environment

* The majority of the working conditions and physical demands are normal for an office or home environment. A small percentage of the physical environment will require the employee to conduct business both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, dry/arid conditions while visiting job sites. This position can also require the ability to use ladders or stairs to access areas of the home to gather measurements.
* The work schedule is typically Monday - Friday 6:30am to 3:30pm and can vary based on the job scope.
* 50% travel required in and around Dane County. The other 50% is at our Waunakee office.
