A Reputable Center located in Philadelphia, PA has an immediate need for a Mammography Technologist

Type: HC-Contract
Schedule: 07:30am-03:30pm
Location: Philadelphia, PA

Job Summary:
This technologist will be utilized to work independently on the mobile mammography van (training provided), and in-house at Fox Chase Cancer Center on days the van is not scheduled to go out.
Currently this is 3 days mobile and 2 days at the hospital but subject to change.
Additionally, the manager is looking for a candidate who is familiar with Epic Radiant and/or Sectra PACS.
Please DO NOT submit candidates who are unwilling to work the mobile mammography van.

Responsibilities:
Performs medical mammograms in order to diagnose disease or trauma.
Responsible for programming the machine for correct density, contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion.
Prepares, maintains and operates mammography equipment in a safe and responsible manner, following appropriate radiation safety guidelines.
Performs and documents all QA/QC tests as defined by MQSA.
Required to work on Mobile Mammography Van, when needed, including some weekends.
All requirements and responsibilities apply when assigned on the van.

Requirements:
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Education High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Non-Degree Program: Graduate from a two-year AMA-approved radiologic technology program Required
Experience 2 Years experience in a Radiologic Technologist position Required
1 Year experience in Mammography Preferred

License/Certifications
RT(R)(M)-Reg Technologist(R)(M) required
MSQA - Mammo Quality Stand Act Req required
BLS - Basic Life Support must be AHA required
