Job Description

The HIS Coordinator secures and keeps the integrity and confidentiality of paper- based and electronic medical records for review, disclosure, importing, and filing purposes They are responsible for record retrieval and delivery; chart filing, archiving, purging, and storage; document prep work (i.e. chart repairs, quality checks, audits, etc.). They are expected to protect and maintain the integrity of various administrative and clinical records received; promptly report extraordinary variances along with opportunities for improving workflow and routine processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or academic equivalent
  • At least one or more years of experience in medical record maintenance, patient chart delivery, and similar or related services as found in a health care or similar environment.
  • Valid California driving license and clean DMV record required.
