Job Description

American Medical Staffing (AMS) puts you first, and we are currently seeking a CNA to join our State Psychiatric team in Weston, WV. With a primary focus on forensic patients and a maximum capacity of 200-beds.

Psych CNA Job Details:
  • Pay Rate: $700 to $850 per week
  • Schedule: Variable Shifts
  • Available Shift: Rotating, 3-4 shifts per week
  • Start Date: 4/7/25 Two weeks from offer
  • Located In: Weston, WV
  • Requirements: Qualified applicants MUST have at least 1 years of experience, preferably in a psych, corrections or similar setting, have a valid RN license and be willing to obtain WV and/or compact licensure.
As a Registered Nurse in a state psychiatric setting, you'll play a crucial role in providing comprehensive healthcare services to instituionalized individuals, promoting their well-being and rehabilitation. This position works in partnership with a team of state psychiatric staff and allows you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients. Responsibilities include:
  • Assessing patient health status, developing care plans, and implementing nursing interventions as needed
  • Administering medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols
  • Monitoring patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment, adjusting care plans as necessary
  • Collaborating with healthcare team members, correctional staff, and community resources to ensure continuity of care
  • Documenting patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
