Summary of essential job functions:
* Responsible to provide direct nursing care to the clients and manage the day-to-day activities performed by the Certified Nursing Assistants working as a team.
* Administers medications and treatments according to physician orders.
* Provides education and guidance to clients and their families on disease process and management.
* Ensure adequate medical supplies are available to meet the medical needs of the patients.
* Receive and review nursing report at the beginning of the shift and compile nursing report at the end of the shift.
* Monitor vital signs in accordance with the resident's treatment plan.
Requirements
* Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Illinois.
* Minimum 1 year of experience in Medical and Surgical setting.
* Previous experience in long-term care is a plus but not required.
* Pass a physical, drug screen, 50-pound lift test, fingerprint for criminal background and complete the reference check.
