Job Description:

The Senior Associate in Acquisitions plays a pivotal role in the identification, evaluation, negotiation, and execution of potential acquisition opportunities for the organization. This individual collaborates closely with the acquisitions team and senior management to assess strategic fit, financial feasibility, and risk factors associated with potential transactions. The Senior Associate must possess strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and a keen understanding of market dynamics to contribute effectively to the success of the acquisitions department.

Responsibilities:

* Deal Sourcing and Evaluation:
* Proactively identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets through market research, industry analysis, and networking.
* Conduct preliminary due diligence to assess strategic alignment, financial performance, and operational viability of target companies.
* Assist in the development of investment theses and preliminary valuation models for potential acquisitions.


* Financial Analysis and Modeling:
* Perform detailed financial analysis, including revenue projections, cost synergies, and capital structure implications.
* Build and maintain complex financial models to assess the financial impact of potential acquisitions on the organization.
* Evaluate investment returns, including internal rate of return (IRR), net asset value (NAV), and cash flow analysis.


* Due Diligence and Transaction Execution:
* Coordinate and facilitate due diligence efforts, working closely with cross-functional teams including legal, finance, and operations.
* Support negotiation processes, including deal structuring, pricing, and terms, to maximize value and mitigate risks.


* Relationship Management:
* Cultivate and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including investment bankers, advisors, and potential seller.
* Collaborate with internal teams, including senior management, finance, and legal, to ensure alignment of acquisition strategies with organizational goals.
* Act as a liaison between the acquisitions team and other departments to facilitate seamless integration of acquired entities.



5. Market Research and Strategic Planning:

* Stay updated/informed of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and market opportunities to inform acquisition strategies.
* Contribute to the development of long-term strategic plans and investment priorities based on market insights and business objectives.
* Provide recommendations and insights to senior management regarding potential acquisition targets and market opportunities.



Knowledge/Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
* 5+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or a related field, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions.
* Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with financial analysis software (e.g., Bloomberg, Capital IQ) preferred.
* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and make data-driven recommendations.
* Demonstrated track record of successfully executing M&A transactions from deal sourcing to integration.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
* Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Proactive, self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a passion for driving results.
