The Nursing Assistant Certified functions under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse; is responsible for performing identified direct and indirect care to patients. These examples do not inlcude all possible functions nor do they limit the assignment of related tasks. The selection of functions of specific tasks to be performed depends on the realistic appraisal by the Registered Nurse of the elements within the situation.
