Director of Regional and Local Partnerships and Programs Center for Civic Learning in Action

Position Summary:
There are 3 main components of the work of the Director of Regional and Local Partnerships and Programs:
1) Build and sustain Dickinson's network of regional and local community partners as well as an advisory Council for the Center, and enriched faculty, staff, and student engagement;
2) Partner with the Director of Global and National Partnerships and Programs as a counterpart within CCLA, to provide coherent leadership and vision to the Center for Civic Learning in Action
3) Collaborate within Academic Affairs and across the College to develop faculty programs to support the expansion of Civic Learning in the Dickinson curriculum, and coordinate student experiential learning across our curricular and co-curricular offerings, emphasizing regional and local partnerships.
Essential Functions 1:
* Build and Sustain a Network of Regional and Local Community Partners and Enriched Faculty, Staff, and Student Engagement
* Network with regional and local community partners to provide sustained relationships that offer meaningful opportunities for students in the service of partners;
* Maintain a high level of responsible and responsive visibility within Carlisle and the surrounding area;
* Revitalize the Civic Learning in Action Advisory Committee, to be comprised of alumni, partners, faculty, and students;
* Work closely with faculty within programs and departments at Dickinson, to grow possibilities for student civic and engaged learning through classroom and curricular innovation;
* Maintain high visibility in relevant communities of practice through participation in community networks and organizations and serving as the administrative liaison to community organizations and working groups;
* Communicates community-identified needs to potential campus partners and servs as a resource regarding emerging partnership opportunities;
* Coordinates capacity building programs for stakeholders in college-community initiatives;
* Provides leadership for initiatives related to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging to ensure that DEIB is valued in every program, initiative, and event sponsored by CCLA, and serving as a resource for the campus and partners related to DEIB initiatives;
* Links civic learning to Dickinson's existing strengths in sustainability, intercultural and global learning, inclusivity, and social justice.
Essential Function 2:
* Vision and Leadership for the Center for Civic Learning in Action In partnership with the Director of Global and National partnerships, provide shared leadership to further develop a strong existing team of staff and student leaders within CCLA;
* Primary responsibility, in collaboration with Director of Global and National Partnerships and Programs, for maintaining Carnegie Classification; maintain and develop AmeriCorps partnerships;
* Works collaboratively to design and implement assessment of regional and local CCLA programming for students, faculty, and community partners;
* Maintains a presence in scholarly conversations related to civic engagement and learning;
* Works collaboratively to develop grant proposals and seek philanthropic support for regional and local partnerships;
* While reporting to the Senior Associate Provost for Integrated Student Success, and collaborating with Director of Global and National Partnerships and Programs, provide co-managerial support for CCLA in terms of budget, staffing, and personnel.
Essential Function 3:
* Partnering within Academic Affairs
* Develop and implement a vision for faculty development around civic engagement and experiential learning in the regional and local context;
* Work with faculty and academic affairs leadership to develop a vision for curricular innovation related to civic engagement and experiential learning in the regional and local context;
* Partner with other members of the Student Success team to integrate student learning across advising-internships-experiential learning-careers.
