* Planning, development, evaluation, and data analysis of lifetime testing.
* Develop cell degradation models and battery lifetime models for FBPS battery products.
* Perform lifetime and warranty analysis for FBPS products in a variety of applications and markets using lifetime models, statistical analysis, and other methods.
* Document and present findings and results of lifetime and warranty analysis.
* Analyze battery reliability and durability with varying operating conditions.
* Acquire, process, and analyze field data to determine battery and cell performance from beginning to end-of-life conditions.
* Assist in developing equivalent-circuit models to estimate battery electrical performance under different usage conditions.
* Assist in creating and supporting documentation of FBPS products for its internal use and its customers.
* Support Sales and Application Engineering teams in sizing systems and defining system architectures.
* Assist the cell technology team in testing, modeling, and analyzing batteries using different cell characterization techniques.

Qualificationsarrow_right

* Advanced degree, Ph.D. preferred, in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Applied Physics, Mathematics, or related fields.
* Knowledge and experience in battery characterization and modeling.
* Knowledge and experience of MATLAB/Simulink and other programming languages useful for data analysis, data visualization, and modeling purposes.
* Experience in advanced data analysis and simulation techniques such as stochastic models, Monte Carlo simulations, and uncertainty propagation is strongly preferred.
* Knowledge and experience in reliability engineering, risk analysis, and reliability modeling such as probabilistic and physics of failure modeling is preferred.
* Competency in advanced numerical and statistical methods.
* Basic understanding of lithium-ion batteries and energy storage systems.
* Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
* Ability to work independently with limited support.
