Fulltime Onsite Position with Paid Relocation
Our client, a leader in the healthcare industry, is seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Acute Care Services Clinical Director. With numerous accolades and a strong presence across the country, our client has consistently been recognized for their commitment to excellence.
Must-Haves:
- Clinical Leadership Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Clinical Leader in an Acute Care setting is required.
- Bedside RN Expertise: Candidates must possess at least 2 years of experience as a bedside RN.
- Team Collaboration: Proven experience working with a diverse team, including new graduate RNs.
- Demonstrated Success: Success in collaborative projects with physicians, project management, and process improvement initiatives.
Nice-To-Haves:
- Advanced Education: Master's degrees in Nursing, Business, or Leadership/Management are preferred.
- Unit Level Director Background: Previous experience as a Unit Level Director is strongly preferred.
Position Summary: As the Acute Care Services Clinical Director, you will play a vital role in the patient care team, overseeing the clinical direction of staff members and ensuring the financial health of reporting units. This role involves 24/7 responsibility for implementing hospital philosophy, policies, and procedures, impacting patient care positively.
Primary (Essential) Duties:
- Staff Development: Oversee staff education, orientation, and effective team development in collaboration with the Acute Care Manager.
- Resource Management: Collaborate with the Acute Care Manager and House Administrator to ensure adequate qualified nursing personnel for each unit/shift.
- Leadership: Assist in the interview, hiring, and annual evaluation process. Represent the unit in departmental and committee meetings.
- Quality and Safety: Implement quality and safety standards, conduct compliance audits, and contribute to ongoing process improvement.
- Budget Management: Effectively manage the budget and resources for each unit, optimizing utilization while minimizing costs.
- Communication: Maintain regular communication with the Senior Leadership Team, providing updates on unit progress, discussing strategic initiatives, and obtaining valuable input.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or eligible license in the state of [State].
- Preferred Education: Master's degrees in Nursing, Business, or Leadership/Management.
- Certifications: ACLS, ONS certification, Healthcare Provider BLS within 3 months of hire. Specialty certification preferred.
- Work Experience: 5+ years as an Acute Care Clinical Leader, 2+ years for bedside RN. Experience as a Unit Level Director strongly preferred. Competency in Med/Surg or ICU.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal, customer service, and multitasking skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software.
