The Opportunity

Responsibilities of this career opportunity include:
  • Providing primary care and preventive health services to clinic patients including but not limited to examination, diagnosis, treatment, and therapeutic procedures.
  • Coordinating patient medical care with other health professionals.
  • Dispensing pharmaceuticals.
  • Maintaining patient medical records.
  • Assisting in the implementation and evaluation of quality improvement program and quality assurance activities.
  • Performing on-call and in-patient responsibilities.
  • Providing direction to clerical support and nursing staff.
  • Attending staff, committee, and board meetings when requested.
  • Consulting with Medical Director and clinic staff on matters relating to patient care, records maintenance, emerging issues, training needs, and clinic protocols.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

The right person for this career opportunity has the following required knowledge, skills, and experience typically required of this opportunity which are acquired through a combination of education and experience.

This career opportunity requires:

  • Must be an MD or DO
  • Must be eligible to practice in the state of Montana with hospital privileges or ability to obtain hospital privileges at St. Peters Health.
  • Previous experience as a health provider and experience using electronic health records preferred.

Alternative qualifications may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

This position qualifies for Loan-Forgiveness/Repayment programs.
