Summary:To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. BASIC REQUIREMENT(S): OPM Link: Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist Series 0647 (opm.gov) In addition, to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: GS-04: 6 months of general experience and 6 months of specialized experience performing routine diagnostic radiographic procedures. My experience included producing digital images of routine views of the body (i.e. chest, joints, feet, hands, long bones of arms and legs) under general supervision of a Radiologist. GS-05: 1 year of experience performing routine diagnostic radiologic procedures. GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: performing or assisting in fluoroscopy examinations such as upper GI's, lower GI's, also special examinations such as bronchograms, orthograms, IVP's and cystograms. Experience in keeping accurate records of patient's workloads and experience in maintaining patient logs on a daily basis and educating patients on examinations such as preparation. GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: experience in basic, complex ultrasound examinations, developing and maintaining a quality control system for an automatic film processor on a daily basis to meet all M/M and The JCAHO standards, checking lead aprons and lead gloves for radiation leaks on a quarterly basis which is documented, monitoring all radiographers taken to assure high quality and keeping accurate records for every x-ray. Selective Placement Factor: Knowledge of Imaging/Xray studies for physicians/providers to use in diagnosis and treatment of patients as evidenced by possession of a current unrestricted American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (AART) certification. Time In Grade (Merit Promotion Candidates Only) Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP). You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
