Job Summary

Reports to the Administrative Director of Risk Management and Compliance. Is a member of the management team and interacts with the Executive Team. Primary responsibilities include drafting and negotiation of provider employment arrangements and property leases, review and analysis of system agreements for compliance with Stark and anti-kickback laws, Medicare & Medicaid fraud and abuse laws; Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance, Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA) compliance, and other federal and state regulatory requirements, and organizing professional corporations and other professional entities. Acts as a resource to staff for compliance, privacy, health-care ethics, end-of-life issues and more. Assists the Administrative Director with other duties as assigned. Provides support to achieve organizational goals and strategies in a manner which conforms to legal requirements and risk tolerance. Works with outside legal counsel, as needed.

Qualifications

Education

* Juris Doctorate Degree from an ABA-accredited las school

Experience

* A minimum of five years experience in hospitals or other healthcare setting preferred.
* Knowledge of healthcare compliance, contracting, Stark, AKS, FCA required

Licensure / Certification

* Admission to the Oklahoma bar, or admission within six month of hire.
