JOB GOAL

Provide students and staff with a nutritional, eye-appealing meal while ensuring a clean, sanitary, and safe working environment according to regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  1. Serves students, faculty, and staff and replenish food on serving line.


  1. Assists with food preparation as instructed by supervisor.


  1. Apply principles of safe and sanitary food handling; preparation and storage.


  1. Verify adequate supply, portion control, and proper display of food; maintain correct food temperatures.


  1. Sets up serving lines with utensils and foods (hot and cold). Serves on the line.


  1. Cleans all items used including trays, pots, pans, and utensils.


  1. Cleans and sanitizes work area, counters, tables and other equipment; cleans up spills as they occur in the kitchen work area.


  1. Assumes responsibility for laundry.


  1. Cleans refrigerators and storeroom shelves.


  1. Assists cashiers at serving time; performs point of sale processes according to established procedures; ensure security of daily receipts.


  1. Safe operation of all cafeteria equipment.


  1. Monitor delinquent accounts, complete daily production report, and other reports as assigned.


  1. Provides set up for meetings and work banquets, as needed.


  1. Participates in all required training.


  1. Knowledge of weights, measures and portion control
