CNA 2 - Orthopedics Unit at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. This posting represents a .9 FTE, night shift opening (7pm-7:30am, 3, 12 hour shifts per week) with rotating weekends.

In this position you will:

* Contribute to a high functioning team
* Meaningfully advance post-operative recovery of surgical patients.
* Assist RN with admissions, discharges, and transfers
* Measure and record vital signs, output, and weights
* Collect specimens and perform fingerstick capillary blood tests
* Assist with client mobility and transfers, using lifts and safe patient handling devices
* Opportunities for continuing education and professional development, including annual CNA conference
* Other duties as assigned

The Certified Nursing Assistant 2 (CNA 2) assists a Registered Nurse (RN) in providing comprehensive nursing care by performing specified duties and functions under the direct supervision of the RN.

Required Qualifications:

* Completion of Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) recognized Acute Care CNA 2 course or equivalent education/experience:
* Grandfathered to CNA 2 per OSBN requirements.


* Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License upon hire.
* National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Preferred Qualification:

* 1 year experience as a CNA 2.
