Service Bartender

Christiana Campbell's Tavern: This historic tavern, George Washington's personal favorite, is Colonial Williamsburg's premier dining tavern. Grilled seafood dishes are balanced with regional favorites such as Clam Chowder, Crab Cakes, and Muddle - a tomato-based stew of shrimp, scallops, and fish fillets. Chicken Imperial and Filet Mignon are also offered. The entrees are complemented by long-time tavern favorites: Campbell's Cabbage Slaw, Spoon Bread, and Pumpkin muffins.

Responsibilities include:

* Opening and closing duties
* Provides bar service for waiter/waitress.


* Performs beginning and ending inventories; requisitions needed liquor


* Performs other duties as required

Qualifications:

* Applicants must be at least 21 years of age due to A.B.C. § 4.1-307
* 1 year bartending experience or completion of bartending school.
* Demonstrated excellent public contact skills.
* Ability to (1) meet standards listed below; (2) handle money accurately
* Physical requirements include, but are not limited to: (1) moving loads up to 50 lbs.; (2) lifting, bending, stooping

NOTE: In accordance with Virginia A.B.C. § 4.1-225 Colonial Williamsburg prohibits employment of anyone in an alcohol serving position who has been convicted of a felony, any crime involving moral turpitude (lying, cheating, or stealing), or a drug-related offense within the past five (5) years.

STANDARDS: Maintain a positive, enthusiastic outlook; smile and greet guests, employees, managers, and supervisors; show respect for and cooperate at all times with those for whom and with whom you work; report to work as scheduled and on time; meet appearance standards; perform assigned tasks accurately and on time.
