Performance Responsibilities:

* Evidence of knowledge in special education programs, administering psychological evaluations, and state law.


* Serves as a case manager as assigned and maintains appropriate case records.


* Participates in the evaluation, classification, and placement of all pupils with special needs.


* Consults with classroom teachers, administrators, and parents regarding methods and/or materials necessary to meet the specific needs of individuals and groups of pupils.


* Knowledge of and experience with research-based best practices in counseling.


* Proficiency with crisis interventions.


* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.


* Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
