EVS Supervisor

Summary:

To maintain cleanliness and appearances of hospital by daily monitoring and inspection of areas of NOHS. Duties include but are not limited to utilizing appropriate products.

Other information:

Must be able to demonstrate the correct use of chemicals, supplies and tools assigned. Have good vision and free mobility on steps, ladders, etc. Have sufficient mobility and dexterity to safely operate hand and power tools, gauges, valves, etc. Able to stoop, bend, and lift. Must be familiar with equipment to detect any malfunction for safety of self and others. Must be able to read and write and effectively communicate with others. Able to work with others in a team effort. Be neat, have a pleasant manner; be dependable, cooperative, tactful and interested in the job. Can work any shift as assigned.:1. Two (2) years of housekeeping experience; helps in scheduling, assign work to employees, and maintains daily and weekly records of work performed, familiar with work projection and progress reports.2. Specialized or Technical Education Required:Knowledge of all types of floor machines.3. Manual or Physical Skill Required:Must be able to write legibly, have very good vision, and be able to measure and distribute cleaning chemicals.4. Physical Effort Required:Required to stand and walk for most of the shift. Climbing ladder to check for cleanliness of all high places, walking up stairs for checking stairways, bending and stooping to check all low areas and behind furniture, equipment, etc. Should have good back, legs and arms. Responsibilities:

1. Perform duties in all areas following established schedules and using prescribed methods.2. Daily monitoring of all equipment for cleanliness and safety. Schedule repairs when necessary.3. Respond to all required codes and perform duties as assigned.4. Complete all assignments during your shift.5. Practice according to hospital isolation policies and procedures.6. Communicates with Housekeeping Operations Manager to report regarding problems, accidents on job, needs and accomplishments.7. Will participate in evaluations and discipline of employees according to rule of conduct.8. Perform any other tasks, which may be assigned.9. Participate in orienting, training and retraining of EVS personnel.10. Inspect all areas of responsibility daily and communicate needs, progress or requests for special project to EVS Manager.11. Monitor and directs charge personnel.12. Follows North Oaks Health System's Compliance Programs and Federal and State Regulatory guidelines.13. Adheres to the 4C's.
