Description

Summary

Under limited supervision, the Venue Attendant is responsible for performing various maintenance and support tasks pertaining to the Patsy Winn Sports Complex and associate facilities.

Distinguishing Career Features

The Venue Attendant is responsible for providing excellent service to all customers and maintaining a clean and presentable facility for all users. This includes, but is not limited to, disposing of litter and debris, assisting with facility use preparation, and answering customer inquiries about facility use, guidelines, and rules, and assisting in resolving customer and facility issues. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Lead Venue Attendant and Sports Complex Manager, who will review work primarily based on results attained and on the accomplishment of outlined objectives and goals. Supervision is provided to on-site and support staff.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintains the Patsy Winn Sports Complex and associate facilities clean, orderly, and presentable. This includes, but is not limited to, restrooms, picnic tables, athletic fields, bleachers, walkways, dugouts, and like-such areas.
  • Performs athletic field changes and facility preparation for events, leagues, tournaments, activities, and like usage.
  • Enforces all Patsy Winn Sports Complex and artificial turf rules and regulations.
  • Supervises use of the Patsy Winn Sports Complex at all times.
  • Properly collects and disposes of litter in assigned area.
  • Provides excellent customer service to all users and customers.
  • Completes daily assignments and any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
  • Provides information about Patsy Winn Sports Complex use, rules and regulations.
  • Responsible for opening and closing procedures for the Patsy Winn Sports Complex.
  • Performs day-to-day responsibilities while on site to include general janitorial duties, cleaning equipment, and light maintenance.
  • Performs other duties as required to accomplish the objectives of the position.
